Ensure your holiday hours are updated on your Google Business Profile.

Make sure your customers know when you are open over the holidays. This is especially important if your hours are different than usual. You can update your hours directly on your Google Business Profile. Just go to “Edit” and then “Hours”.

If you haven’t claimed your Google Business Profile yet,  be sure to do so. This will help your business get found online and allow customers to leave reviews!

Create and schedule a holiday post on your social media page.

Create a post that will get your customers in the Holiday spirit! You can use photos, videos, or even just text. Be sure to schedule it to go live a few days before Christmas.

Here are some ideas for what you could include in your post:

  • Warm wishes for a happy holiday season
  • A sneak peek of your Christmas specials or products
  • Photos of your business decorated for the holidays
  • Customer stories or testimonials about how you’ve helped them celebrate Christmas
  • How you get into the Christmas spirit this year
  • Wish your customers a Merry Christmas!

Send an email blast out to all your customers wishing them the best in the season.

This is a great way to show your customers that you care about them and want them to have a happy holiday season. You can either create the email blast yourself or use a template from an online service.

Here are some things you could include in your email:

  • A greeting from you and your team
  • Your holiday hours
  • Photos of your business decorated for the holidays
  • Christmas specials or products
  • Customer stories or testimonials about how you’ve helped them celebrate Christmas

Consider sending gifts to your favorite customers and friends!

This is a great way to show your customers and friends how much you appreciate them. You could send out gift cards, cookies, or even just a handwritten note.

Be sure to personalize the gifts for each person and make them feel special!

Take Christmas Off (if you can)! Breaks are OK — work hard and break hard!

If you can, then take a break from work during the holidays. You and your employees will be much happier for it!  If you can’t take the time off, don’t worry about it. You should still try to get some rest on Christmas or New Year’s Eve so that you are refreshed and ready for work in the new year!

Christmas is a time of the year where we celebrate love and joy, but it can also be an incredibly stressful time for small business owners. It’s important to take care of yourself first so that you have the energy necessary to provide your customers with excellent customer service! We hope these tips help make this holiday season more enjoyable for both you, your employees, and your customers!
